CHINA, Maine — A Searsport man died Tuesday when his vehicle overturned on a curve on Route 3 in China, according to the Maine Department of Public Safety.
Richard Breau, 37, was not wearing a seat belt and was ejected from the vehicle, according to public safety spokesman Stephen McCausland.
The vehicle landed on its wheels and on top of Breau, according to McCausland.
The spokesman said Breau’s car hit an embankment and flipped over. He was alone in the vehicle, and the crash was reported around noon.
Breau had a revoked Massachusetts driver’s license and likely would have survived had he been wearing a seat belt, McCausland said.
