MACHIAS, Maine — Three people were arrested here last week on drug charges.
Holly Pellon, 50, of Machias, Dwight Alley, 32, of Machias, and William Merchant, 39, of Addison were charged Oct. 1 with possession of Schedule W drugs, which includes substances such as cocaine and heroin, according to Machias Police Chief Grady Dwelley.
“We can’t say what [drug] it is until we have it tested,” he said Monday.
The three suspects were arrested after police executed a search warrant at an apartment on Water Street at about 4:15 p.m. last Thursday, he said.
Dwelley said members of the Maine State Police and Washington County Sheriff’s Office assisted with the arrests.
All three have been released on bail, according to a representative of the Washington County Jail.
