PORTLAND, Maine — Because of high winds, gusting up to 70 mph, Nova Star is unable to enter the port of Yarmouth, Nova Scotia, until Saturday afternoon.
As a result, they have been forced to cancel the daytime crossing from Yarmouth to Portland and the overnight voyage scheduled to leave Portland at 8 p.m.
Regularly scheduled service will resume with the morning departure from Yarmouth at 9:30 a.m. Sunday.
Nova Star Cruises advises all guests with reservations for either of the two canceled sailings to call the reservation center at 866-864-6295 or 902-800-3566 in Nova Scotia to make alternate arrangements.
Affected passengers can choose to change their reservation to the next available voyage or cancel their reservation and receive a full refund.
