GREENBUSH, Maine — The state’s 40th methamphetamine lab of the year was discovered at a Greenbush mobile home Tuesday night, and authorities are searching for the suspect.

A search warrant at a Main Road residence was executed by Maine Drug Enforcement Agency members with assistance from the Penobscot County Sheriff’s Office, according to MDEA Cmdr. Peter Arno.

Once inside, officials turned up a significant amount of evidence related to methamphetamine manufacturing, using the “one-pot” or “shake and bake” method, Arno said.

Investigators believe they have a suspect, who reportedly was staying at the residence and is not the homeowner.

Anyone with information on the suspect’s whereabouts should contact local law enforcement or the MDEA’s tip line at 1-800-452-6457.
