BROOKSVILLE, Maine — A Deer Isle man was killed Thursday night after losing control of his pickup truck on Route 15, according to the Hancock County Sheriff’s Office.
Cory Betts, 36, was traveling north when he apparently failed to negotiate a curve, according to Deputy Travis Frost.
Betts’ pickup crossed the center line and struck a tree before coming to a rest. Frost said Betts was declared dead at the scene.
The GMC pickup Betts was driving was totaled.
