BRUNSWICK, Maine — The Maine Warden Service is searching by foot and by air for a 30-year-old woman last seen at 10:30 p.m. Monday.

Lisa Marie Cox left the Running Brook Road home of family friends barefoot and without her cellphone following an argument with her boyfriend, Brunswick police Cmdr. Mark Waltz said Tuesday. She was wearing a navy blue sweater and dark blue skirt, with leggings.

Waltz said Cox was “very upset and may not have been thinking clearly” following the argument.

Cox, who grew up in the Bath-Brunswick area, now lives in Texas with her boyfriend, but the couple has been in Maine visiting for two weeks.

Family friends reported her missing at 10 a.m. Tuesday.

Waltz said police have questioned Cox’s boyfriend, who told them he does not know where she is.

Cox is described as a white female, 5 feet 3 inches tall, weighing 168 pounds, with dirty blonde hair and glasses.

“We’re worried she’s in trouble,” Waltz said. “She’s not dressed for the elements, and it was 30 degrees and raining last night.”

A plane from the Maine Warden Service circled the Maquoit Bay area near Running Brook Road while wardens and a dog searched on foot just after 1 p.m. Tuesday.

Waltz asked anyone who may know of Cox’s whereabouts to call them at 725-5521.
