WASHINGTON — Former U.S. Sen. Jim Webb is dropping his bid for the Democratic Party’s 2016 presidential nomination, Fox News reported Tuesday.
Webb scheduled a news conference later Tuesday in Washington. His campaign said Monday that Webb is considering an independent candidacy for president. Fox reported he was not expected to launch any independent bid Tuesday.
