Lighthouses have played a big part in Maine’s seafaring history. Most of Maine’s nearly 60 active lighthouses were built in the 19th century, but the oldest was built in 1791.
Some lights are tourist destinations. Others are island outposts you’d only see from a boat. Some of these 10 lighthouses are well-known, a couple are pretty obscure. How many can you name?
