AUGUSTA, Maine — A Farmingdale man has been arrested in connection with a Sept. 26 armed robbery of an Augusta convenience store, police said Tuesday.
Zachary Carey, 20, was taken into custody on Tuesday, according to Lt. Christopher Massey. Carey is facing an armed robbery charge.
Carey’s arrest comes just over a month after he allegedly held up the Cumberland Farms on Mount Vernon Avenue, according to Massey.
Carey allegedly displayed a firearm and demanded cash, fleeing with an undisclosed amount of cash. No one was injured during the robbery.
Carey is being held without bail at the Kennebec County Jail.
