WEST PARIS, Maine — An overnight apartment fire has displaced 10 people in West Paris.
The West Paris Fire Department said the call came in around 12:30 a.m. Wednesday for the building on Maple Street. When crews arrived, they say flames coming out of the second floor.
Fire departments from 10 nearby towns responded. It took about 45 minutes to put out the blaze.
No one was injured during the fire. The building is heavily damaged. Those who were displaced because of the fire are being assisted by the Red Cross.
Firefighters do not yet know what caused this fire, but they do not believe it is suspicious. The state fire marshal’s office will visit scene Wednesday morning.
