A Waldo County woman was arrested Thursday in Bolton, Massachusetts, and charged with trafficking heroin.

Holly Grant, 39, of Palermo was stopped by a Massachusetts State Police trooper at 10:40 a.m. Thursday when she was allegedly speeding north on Route 495 in a silver Nissan Altima, according to a media release from the Massachusetts State Police.

Trooper Phillip McLaine found that Grant did not have a valid driver’s license and also found approximately 300 bundles of a substance believed to be heroin inside the vehicle.

Grant was arrested and taken to the Leominster Barracks to be booked. She was charged with trafficking heroin, distribution of heroin, unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle and speeding. She is being held on $25,000 bail pending her arraignment in Clinton District Court.
