KENNEBUNKPORT, Maine — Police have arrested a California woman on a felony charge of drug trafficking after police say she received two pounds of marijuana while visiting family members in Kennebunkport.
Kennebunkport police arrested Rachel Lindsey, 38, of Felton, California, on a charge of unlawful trafficking in scheduled drugs, a Class C felony. Police said the alleged delivery of two pounds of marijuana, through U.S. mail, was made to Lindsey while she was visiting relatives at 22 Wildes District Road, the Kennebunkport Motor Lodge.
Police said Lindsey’s arrest followed an investigation that started on the West Coast and involved officers from the Kennebunkport Police Department with investigative assistance from the U.S. Postal Service and the Wells Police Department.
Lindsey was released on $1,000 cash bail and is scheduled to appear in York County Superior Court in Alfred on Dec. 11.
