CHAPMAN, Maine — A 41-year-old woman was injured Tuesday afternoon when her vehicle went off the roadway on a sharp turn and overturned.
Danielle Rideout of Chapman had been traveling north on Grendell Road at about 1:05 p.m. when her 2008 Pontiac SUV went off the road, rolled over and eventually came to rest on its roof, according to a press release issued Tuesday evening by Trooper Chuck Michaud of the Maine State Police.
Rideout suffered serious injuries that were not life-threatening and was taken by Crown Ambulance to The Aroostook Medical Center in Presque Isle, Michaud said.
He said the vehicle was demolished in the crash.
Speed was considered a factor, according to investigating Trooper Adam Stoutamyer.
Rideout was wearing a seat belt.
