Eight No. 1 seeds will seek North Regional titles when the high school boys and girls soccer finals begin Wednesday.
In the boys finals, top seed Lewiston (16-0) will host No. 2 Hampden Academy (13-3) at 6 p.m. in the Class A final while No. 10 Erskine Academy of South China (12-4) will visit Ellsworth at 4 p.m. to take on the No. 1 Eagles in Class B.
In Class C, the top-seeded Washington Academy Raiders (16-0) will host No. 3 Central of Corinth (15-1) at 3 p.m. while No. 2 Bangor Christian (15-1) will travel north take take on No. 1 Fort Fairfield (15-0-1) at 1 p.m. in Class D.
The girls North finals also feature No. 1 seeds as No. 2 Bangor (13-1-2) will travel to Rockport to take on No. 1 Camden Hills (15-0-1) in Class A while No. 1 Oceanside (14-0-2) will host No. 2 Hermon (14-0-2) in Class B at Pendleton Field in Thomaston. Both of those games begin at 2 p.m.
In Class C, sixth-seeded Bucksport (7-6-4) will be at No. 1 Orono (14-1-1) in Class C at 2 p.m. while No. 3 Madawaska (11-2-1) will visit No. 1 Ashland (16-0) in Class D at 5 p.m.
South regional finals are also set for Wednesday.
The boys schedule is: Class A, No. 7 Cheverus of Portland (9-3-4) at No. 1 Scarborough (14-0-2), 6 p.m.; Class B, No. 2 Yarmouth (14-1-1) at No. 1 Maranacook in Readfield (16-0), 5:30 p.m.; Class C, No. 4 Monmouth Acad. (13-3) at No. 2 Waynflete (13-2-1), 1:30 p.m.; and Class D, No. 2 Richmond (11-4) at No. 1 Buckfield (15-1), 2 p.m.
The girls schedule is: Class A, No. 5 Marshwood of South Berwick (14-3) at No. 3 Gorham (13-3), 6 p.m.; Class B, No. 2 York (10-3-3) at No. 1 Greely (14-2) in Cumberland, 5 p.m.; Class C, No. 6 Waynflete of Portland (12-4) at No. 4 Monmouth Academy (12-2-2), 1:30 p.m.; and Class D, No. 2 Rangeley (10-3) at No. 1 Richmond (14-1), 2 p.m.
