SKOWHEGAN, Maine — A North Anson man who reportedly sold heroin to undercover agents with the Maine Drug Enforcement Agency in August was indicted by the Somerset County grand jury on Wednesday, Maeghan Maloney, district attorney for both Somerset and Kennebec counties, said in a press release.
Eugene Houle, 24, was charged on Aug. 25 after MDEA agents raided his home, MDEA Cmdr. Peter Arno said in a statement. The grand jury indicted him on three counts of trafficking in heroin.
The MDEA’s central task force in Augusta conducted a monthlong investigation and made a number of undercover purchases from Houle, Arno said. He also was found with 2 pounds of processed marijuana, 26 marijuana plants in various stages of growth and two handguns, including one that was loaded.

Coty Brown, 20, Skowhegan, possession of a firearm by a prohibited person.
Shawn Quimby, 44, Athens, aggravated assault.
Pedro Lopez, 31, Skowhegan, three counts of criminal threatening with a dangerous weapon.
Aaron Dionne, 35, Madison, burglary, theft and forgery.
Wade Sargent, 27, Skowhegan, receiving stolen property.
Lloyd Linnell, 64, Moscow, unlawful sexual contact, unlawful sexual touching.
Kenneth Austin, 33, Norridgewock, three counts of burglary of a motor vehicle, three counts of theft, three counts of criminal mischief from two incidents in Skowhegan and Norridgewock.
John O’Connor, 51, Waterville, assault with a dangerous weapon.
