BANGOR, Maine — Bangor police have released the names of the pedestrian and driver involved in a crash Thursday evening at the intersection of Broadway and Garland Streets.
Jennifer Martinez, 52, of Veazie was crossing Broadway at dusk, around 4:50 p.m., when she was struck by a vehicle driven by Ronald Smith, 73, of Glenburn, Bangor police Sgt. Tim Cotton said Friday.
No one has been charged in connection with the crash, and police continue to investigate to determine what contributed to the crash.
The vehicle’s side-view mirror struck Martinez, knocking her to the pavement. She was taken to Eastern Maine Medical Center for treatment of injuries that weren’t believed to be life-threatening.
The hospital did not have her condition immediately available Friday afternoon.
