ROCKLAND, Maine — Dennis Reed will step down from his post as assessor in January.
Reed turned in his retirement notice last week to the city manager. The Jefferson resident, who succeeded Marian Robinson, has been the city’s assessor for 10 years. Prior to that, he served as assessor for Topsham for 12 years.
Reed’s last day in the Rockland post will be Jan. 29, 2016.
City Manager James Chaousis said in his weekly manager’s report he already has created an advertisement for the job and plans to have it filled before Reed’s final day on the job.
