BANGOR, Maine — Funeral arrangements have been set for the man accused of shooting three people to death at a home in Oakland on Nov. 4 and then taking his own life.

Herman Derico, 42, resided at a home on Belgrade Road with his victims, Amanda Bragg, 30, Amy Derosby, 28, and Michael Muzerolle, 28. A 3-year-old child who also was at the the residence was left unharmed.

A funeral service for Derico is scheduled for 1 p.m. Monday at Lewis Brothers Funeral Home in Selma, Alabama, a funeral home employee confirmed Thursday night. Additional details were not available.

Maine State Police so far have declined to offer theories on motive in the shooting.

The bodies of the three adults were found inside the home, while the body of the alleged killer was found outside, Stephen McCausland, spokesman for the Maine Department of Public Safety, said last week.

The child, who is the daughter of Bragg and Muzerolle, is with relatives.

Reports of an emergency at the home were received around 8 p.m. Nov. 4, including a 911 call from one of the victims. Police from Oakland and the surrounding towns converged on the home and found the bodies.
