PORTLAND, Maine — Portland police confirm a search is underway for a missing Portland-based water taxi and its captain.
Police say the 24-foot boat, owned by Portland Express Water Taxi, and its captain, Adam Patterson, were reported missing around 2 p.m. Wednesday. Patterson has been living on the boat.
Police say they are treating this as a missing person case, and they do not believe anyone else was on the boat.
The U.S. Coast Guard is aiding in the search.
