PARIS — A Maine photographer described the scene in Paris as terrorists attacked the city.
Tanja Hollander of Auburn and a friend are on assignment in Paris. Hollander said they were in a restaurant about a mile away from one of the explosions.
Police told Hollander and her friend that there were still gunmen on the streets and they took shelter in a bar for hours before returning to their room for the night.
She said Saturday the mood around the city was somber, and she’s grateful she’s been able to connect with friends and loved ones back home.
