BATH, Maine — A Topsham man is facing multiple charges in connection with an assault on a woman, according to Bath police Lt. Robert Savary.

Phillip Tyler Alley, 23, was arrested on Sunday afternoon, according to Savary.

During an argument, Alley allegedly put his hands on the woman’s throat. He also allegedly hit her in the face during another argument a few days earlier, Savary said.

Alley also allegedly sent the woman text messages threatening violence, Savary said.

Alley is accused of aggravated assault, domestic violence terrorizing and violating conditions of release.

He was taken to Two Bridges Regional Jail in Wiscasset and denied bail.
