KITTERY, Maine — Two Massachusetts men were injured when a truck overturned on the Maine Turnpike Thursday morning, Department of Public Safety spokesman Stephen McCausland said.

Luiz Coelho, 55, and his 22-year-old son Arthur, were heading north when their pickup overturned on the Exit 3 offramp, according to McCausland.

The truck was towing a trailer, which was carrying a second pickup and passenger car on it, McCausland said. Luiz Coelho was driving the truck.

Both men were thrown from the vehicle, which wound up on its side, McCausland said. It is believed the men were traveling too fast on the exit ramp.

Both men were transported to Portsmouth Regional Hospital for injuries not considered to be life-threatening.
