BROOKS, Maine — Game wardens are seeking a pickup truck in connection with a deer poaching incident on Wednesday, according to Maine Warden Service Cpl. John MacDonald.
MacDonald said wardens responded to a night hunting incident shortly after 8 p.m. in which a deer was shot along Route 139.
MacDonald said the shots were fired in close proximity to a day care center. The pickup in question was last seen heading toward Monroe on Route 139.
Maine Operation Game Thief has been contacted and has agreed to offer an undisclosed reward amount for anyone with information leading to the suspects.
