ALFRED, Maine — A local man is in serious condition after being hit by a vehicle on the dirt portion of Kennebunk Road early Saturday, and police are looking for the driver, according to Stephen McCausland, Maine Department of Public Safety spokesman.
John Caramihalis, 21, was struck by the vehicle at about 2:45 a.m. and an anonymous caller reported the crash, McCausland said. Caramihalis suffered serious injuries and is being treated at Maine Medical Center in Portland.
“Troopers determined that a large number of young adults had been gathered about a mile away along the road at an outside party,” McCausland said.
