Game notes: The Black Bears head back on the road looking for their second straight victory after beating Longwood 92-82 on Wednesday. The Blue Devils are coming off an 81-75 loss to Binghamton on Tuesday. This is the first meeting of the two programs in 32 years. UMaine continues to work on its chemistry while implementing several newcomers but also is focusing on maintaining consistency of effort and intensity. The Black Bears hope to have the services of 6-6 F Issac Vann (15.8 ppg, 6.5 rpg), who suffered an ankle injury against Longwood. CCSU of the Northeast Conference is shooting only 29 percent from the 3-point arc while allowing opponents to connect at 44 percent. The Blue Devils also lost to America East member Hartford, along with Boston College and Penn. UMaine senior Shaun Lawton is back with the team after serving a suspension for failure to meet team requirements, but his role likely will be limited until he earns playing time after missing some practice time.
