ROCKPORT, Maine — Pen Bay Medical Center and Waldo County General Hospital will be holding community forums on Dec. 14, 15 and 16.

President and Chief Executive Officer Mark Biscone will provide an update on health care in Knox and Waldo counties.

Pen Bay Medical Center will be holding community forums on Tuesday, Dec. 15, from 1:30 to 2:30 p.m. at the Rockland Public Library in the Friend’s Community Room and 5:30 to 6:30 p.m. at Camden Hill Regional High School in Rockport in the lecture hall.

Waldo County General Hospital will be holding community forums at 5:30 p.m. Monday, Dec. 14, at the Troy Howard Middle School in Belfast and 5:30 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 16, at the Searsport District Middle and High School.

All meetings are open to the public. The parent corporations of the two hospitals merged on Dec. 1 as Pen Bay Healthcare. The new parent corporation has one board which will be a subsidiary of MaineHealth, which is the parent corporation of numerous southern and midcoast-area health care organizations including Maine Medical Center in Portland.
