DAYTON, Maine — A man was injured Monday afternoon in a tractor-trailer rollover on Route 35, according to state police.
The driver, whose name was not disclosed, was traveling north when he lost control, according to Department of Public Safety spokesman Stephen McCausland.
The crash occurred shortly after noon and the truck’s load of sand and gravel spilled, McCausland said. The truck also collided with and broke a utility pole.
Shaw Brothers owns the truck, and crews from Central Maine Power, Ray’s Truck Towing and the Maine Department of Transportation and Department of Environmental Protection are assisting state police.
The driver was transported to Southern Maine Medical Center for treatment of minor injuries.
Route 35 from Dayton Lane to Clarks Mills Road was expected to be closed for much of the afternoon commute.
