UNION, Maine — A 24-year-old man was arrested Tuesday after police say he broke into a home and stole some medical marijuana.

Anthony Boudreau of Union was arrested and charged with burglary and theft.

The medical marijuana theft occurred Tuesday at a home on Middle Road. The owner had a video camera in operation, which enabled police to identify the suspect, according to Sheriff Donna Dennison.

Boudreau has since been released on bail.

A second unrelated residential burglary in Union this week also is being investigated by the Knox County Sheriff’s Office.

That burglary occurred Monday on Payson Road. The homeowner had gone for the day and left the house unlocked.

Reported taken were an Xbox, a gold Xbox controller, a black Xbox controller, a “Minecraft” game, a Batman game, a “Call of Duty: Black Ops” game, and a “Halo” game.

That case remains under investigation and there are no suspects, according to Dennison.
