LUDLOW, Maine — A Georgia truck driver was hospitalized for injuries that were not considered life-threatening after he lost control of his rig on slush-covered Interstate 95 early Monday afternoon, according to Maine State Police.
William Stallworth, 44, of Conyers, Georgia, was traveling south at 12:15 p.m. when he lost control of a 2005 Freightliner box truck, which skidded off the roadway and rolled onto its side down an embankment, according to a news release issued Monday evening by Sgt. Jeffrey Clark. The truck is owned by Joli Transport LLC, of Sandy Springs, Georgia.
Stallworth, who was wearing a seat belt, was taken by Houlton Ambulance personnel to Houlton Regional Hospital to be treated for unspecified injuries.
