BANGOR, Maine — Two men were taken to the hospital Tuesday morning after a fire broke out inside a Bolling Drive residence, officials said.
The fire was reported at 7:30 a.m. and the men, whose names were not disclosed, both suffered smoke inhalation, Bangor Assistant Chief Dennis Nadeau said.
One man has been released from Eastern Maine Medical Center while the other remains there, Nadeau said.
Once both men were safely out, firefighters were able to quickly extinguish the blaze, which did not heavily damage the unit, Nadeau said.
No mutual aid was required at the scene and the fire is likely to be found accidental in nature, Nadeau said.
