BELFAST, Maine — A woman and a child escaped serious injury after the vehicle she was driving hit the back of a school bus Tuesday morning, according to police.
The vehicles collided as they were merging onto Route 1 from Waldo Avenue, according to Belfast police Sgt. John Gibbs.
The driver, Sarrae Robinson-Garland, 29, of Belfast, and her 2-year-old daughter were checked out at the scene but did not require a trip to the hospital, according to Gibbs.
The RSU 20 bus driven by Debbie Venneman did not have any children on it, the sergeant said.
