GRAY, Maine — Mild temperatures and steady rain are on tap for the night before Christmas Eve, the National Weather Service reported on Wednesday afternoon.

While there aren’t expected to be any issues with flooding, steady rain is expected Wednesday night and into Thursday morning, according to the weather service.

Thursday’s predicted high temperatures have the potential to set records throughout the state, according to the weather service.

The forecast foggy weather was not hindering the state’s two major airports to a high degree.

Bangor International Airport reported only one canceled outgoing flight on Wednesday, while a handful of departures out of Portland International Jetport were canceled.
