ASHLAND, Maine — A man is dead after an early-morning fire in Aroostook County, officials said.
The man’s body was discovered in a camper he was living in along Main Street, Department of Public Safety spokesman Stephen McCausland said.
The camper, which was parked near a home, was gutted in the fire, McCausland said.
Investigators are attempting to figure out what may have caused the fire. The man’s identity has not been disclosed.
