WATERVILLE, Maine — A pedestrian suffered a severe leg injuries after he was hit by a car near Tim Horton’s Friday evening.
According to police, John Douglas, 35, tried to cross Main Street near Tim Horton’s around 7 p.m. Friday when a vehicle hit him.
Police said the driver could not see Douglas who was not in a crosswalk when he was hit.
Douglas suffered what a Waterville police sergeant called “major leg injuries.” Police said that because of Douglas’ height and size, the vehicle was extensively damaged.
Police do not expect to file charges.
