Andre Miller of Old Town, Curtis McLeod of Maine Central Institute in Pittsfield and Dylan Severance of Brewer are among the members of the recently announced 2015 USA Today All-USA Maine high school football team.

Miller earned first-team offense status for his work as a wide receiver in leading Old Town to an undefeated regular season and berth in the Class C North championship game.

McLeod was a second-team selection on the offensive line who was instrumental in MCI advancing to the Class D state final each of the last two years.

Severance was named a second-team linebacker for his work in helping Brewer advance to the Class B North championship game.

Austin McCrum, a senior quarterback from Thornton Academy in Saco, was named the state’s offensive player of the year. He passed for 1,956 yards and 20 touchdowns and rushed for 358 yards and four touchdowns in leading the Golden Trojans to their second straight Class A state championship and third in four years.

Alec Clark, an offensive guard and middle linebacker from Winslow, was named the defensive player of the year. The Big 10 (Class C North) player of the year, Clark had 54 tackles and five quarterback sacks on defense in leading the Black Raiders to their second straight Class C championship and fourth consecutive regional title.

Winslow’s Mike Siviski was named the state’s coach of the year after guiding the Black Raiders to their seventh state championship under his guidance as well as their second straight 11-0 campaign. This year’s team was particularly stingy on defense, yielding 5.8 points per game.
