SCARBOROUGH, Maine — Police are investigating an early morning shooting in Scarborough that left one man hospitalized.

Police received a report of a shooting at an Ash Swamp Road home around 1:30 a.m. Monday. A 47-year-old man was shot in his lower torso and was taken to Maine Medical Center, where he is listed in stable condition.

Other people where in the home at the time of the shooting, according to police. But police have not provided details about how the incident happened and there have been no arrests.

Police have blocked off the driveway to the home and are still in the preliminary stages of their investigation. A police officer will be interviewing the victim at the hospital this morning.
