BANGOR, Maine — The Bangor Region Chamber of Commerce is alerting the public to a scam in a statement released Friday.
“It has come to our attention that some of our members are receiving phone calls about the Bangor Region Chamber of Commerce selling ads for a Bangor map,” the statement read.
The chamber said that these phone calls are not coming from them and that Bangor police have been notified.
The chamber advised people not disclose any personal information, such as credit card numbers.
