FREEPORT, Maine — Two men have been arrested in connection with a burglary of Frosty’s Donuts on Main Street, police said.

Nathan Stowell, 18, and Tyler Julian, 19, both of Durham, are each facing a burglary charge, according to Freeport Police Chief Jerry Schofield.

The alleged burglary occurred in the early morning hours of Jan. 11, according to a posting on Freeport police’s Facebook page.

According to the post, the men allegedly stole a cash register’s cash drawer and deposited it in a wooded area behind Freeport High School.

Several days later, a canine unit located the drawer buried under snow and both men were arrested on Thursday.
