LITCHFIELD, Maine — No injuries were reported on Thursday morning when an RSU 4 school bus was rear-ended on Route 197, officials said.

The bus was transporting kindergarten through fifth-grade students to Litchfield when it was rear-ended, according to Superintendent Jim Hodgkin.

Hodgkin said the driver of the vehicle that struck the bus was blinded by the sun. No children were hurt and neither driver was injured, he said.

Students were placed on another bus and transported to their schools.
