BERWICK, Maine — Police say they found more than 40 grams of heroin inside of a man. That’s after he led them on a chase through Maine into New Hampshire.
Police arrested 33-year-old Charles Bill Wednesday night.
Somersworth police in New Hampshire say they tried to stop Bill, but they called off the pursuit at the state line.
Berwick police then followed him through multiple towns in Maine and New Hampshire for about 40 miles before a Maine State Police trooper hit the car, causing it to spin out.
When officers took Bill to jail, they say they found heroin hidden inside him.
Bill was charged with eluding an officer and aggravated trafficking in Schedule W drugs.
