PORTLAND, Maine — A car was hit, then flipped upside down in a yard with a mother and her daughter inside.
The crash happened Thursday night on Outer Congress Street in Portland.
Police said another vehicle broadsided a car, flipping it over, after the car pulled out of Maine Medical Partners.
Two witnesses said they were leaving work, saw the crash and rushed to help.
“The mom and the daughter were just coming of the car,” Savahna Plummer said. “The mom fell into my arms, and the daughter was freaking out because she wanted to make sure her mom was OK. Basically we just sat here, and we were comforting the mom and the daughter.”
The victims were taken to Maine Medical Center, and their condition was unclear. Congress Street was closed for some time but has reopened.
