FRENCHVILLE, Maine — A 22-year-old Madawaska woman suffered minor injuries in a crash Tuesday morning on Route 1.
Melanie Martin lost control of her Honda Civic at about 9 a.m. while negotiating a turn and crashed into several small trees, Maine State Police Cpl. Chuck Michaud said in a press release issued Wednesday.
He said she was driving too fast for the road conditions. Martin, who was alone in the vehicle, was wearing a seat belt. She was treated at the scene for minor injuries and did not require a trip to the hospital, according to Michaud.
Martin’s vehicle had about $4,000 in damage, Michaud said.
