WESTFIELD, Maine — Multiple injuries were reported Thursday night in a two-vehicle crash on Route 1 near Presque Isle, according to state police.
Alyssa Hewitt, 18, of Presque Isle had slowed to make a left turn into a driveway when she was struck by a vehicle driven by Conor Todd, 19, of Mars Hill, according to Sgt. Chad Fuller.
Both vehicles were traveling south, according to Fuller. The crash occurred around 7 p.m. Thursday.
Fuller said blowing snow and crosswinds reduced visibility at the time of the crash.
The impact severely damaged both vehicles while Hewitt and three female passengers, whose names weren’t disclosed, were brought to the Aroostook Medical Center in Presque Isle for treatment of minor injuries.
Todd was not injured in the crash and was not carrying any passengers.
