SEBAGO, Maine — A 34-year-old woman who reported in July 2014 that she had been carjacked in Gorham and then sexually assaulted was arrested Thursday and charged with filing a false public report.
Lindsay J. Anderson of Sebago reported that day that she had been carjacked and forced by two men to drive to a remote wooded location in Sebago, where the two men sexually assaulted her, according to a press release from Lt. Donald Foss of the Cumberland County Sheriff’s Office.
According to the release, sheriff’s office staff investigated the incident for nearly nine months.
Anderson was released Friday morning from Cumberland County Jail on $3,000 cash bail.
No additional information was immediately available.
