ST. AGATHA – Philip Guimond, 78, died peacefully Feb. 10, 2016, at a Madawaska health facility after a brief illness and is now living his 5th day.  He was born in Edmundston, N.B., on Aug. 21, 1937, the son of Albert and Anysie (Daigle) Guimond.
He was a member of the 4th Degree Knights of Columbus of St. Agatha, Maine. He retired after 21 years from DOT.  He enjoyed trucking and riding his ATV, and enjoyed looking on the lake for his ducks.
He is survived by his wife of 58 years, Constance (Dumond) of St. Agatha; two sons, Ronnie and his wife, Lisa, of  Virginia and Steve and Lynn of St. Agatha; five grandchildren, Cullen, Ryan, Elizabeth, Andrew and Seth and his wife, Amanda. He is also survived by three brothers, Robert of N.Y., Patrice of Bangor and Maurice of Barrington, N.H.; and three sisters, Clair of Maryland, Michelle of N.C. and Suzelle of Fort Kent. He was predeceased by his parents; and three brothers, Leon, Kenneth and Raymond.
Friends and relatives may call at Michaud Funeral Home in St. Agatha on Sunday, Feb. 14, from 6-8 p.m. and Monday, Feb. 15, from 8:30-9:45 a.m.  A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Monday, Feb. 15, at 10 a.m. at St. Agatha Catholic Church with the Rev.
