UMaine owns a 17-game winning streak that is in serious jeopardy against an Albany squad that features AE Player of the Year Richards and a talented supporting cast. Game notes: The Black Bears will try to put an end to their four-game losing streak that was extended with a 108-95 overtime loss to UMass Lowell on Thursday. The Great Danes are gunning for their sixth straight win after beating Binghamton 69-56 on Monday. UMaine is significantly shorthanded as leading scorer Kevin Little (Achilles’), backup point guard Ryan Bernstein (mono), starting forward Ilija Stojiljkovic (suspension) and junior Garet Beal (ankle) are all out of action. The Black Bears likely will try to force a brisk tempo with their pressure, but must be able to rotate back and stop penetration, which can lead to layups and kickouts for 3-pointers.
