The folks at Tylor Kellys Camps & Guide Service in Allagash captured this video footage of a deer squaring off against a hungry coyote.
The video was posted to the camps’ Facebook page last week and has been viewed more than 162,000 times, and shared more than 1,600 times.
Here’s how the guide service described the scene in its Facebook post:
“It was hard to watch what happened on the ice yesterday. A coyote chased a deer out onto the ice and it didn’t look good for the deer. But she was a fighter and was able to escape when Wade pulled into the driveway and scared the coyote back into the woods. We found ourselves routing for the deer but in nature there’s no good guys or bad guys. Just animals living life and doing what they were created to do.”
