HAMPDEN — Bronco Little League will hold its annual meeting at 7 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 21, at the Hampden Academy Cafeteria. Bronco Little League is open to boys and girls ages 7 to 16 who are interested in baseball or softball and live in Hampden, Newburgh or Winterport, or attend school in RSU 22. The annual meeting is an opportunity for parents and volunteers to start the process of organizing the upcoming season. All interested people are encouraged to attend.

SOUTHWEST HARBOR — Registration is open for the 24th annual Great Harbor Shoot-Out postseason basketball tournament, which benefits Harbor House Community Service Center in Southwest Harbor. RUMFORD — The 17th annual Mountain Valley Recreational Basketball Tournament will be held on April 1-3, a week later than usual due to an early Easter, at Mountain Valley High School and Mountain Valley Middle School. This highly competitive tournament will feature some of the best players in the state in Division A, along with other more seasoned veterans in the B and senior divisions. ORONO — The second annual Black Bear Marathon, Half Marathon and 10K will take place on June 5, on the University of Maine Campus. Starts in the UMaine Football stadium track and a run through the campus, along the river and through Orono and Old Town. You will pass the Old Town Canoe Company and return to campus via a paved bike path through the woods.The course will feature cheer stations, music and lots of water stops. BANGOR — In order to raise money for the Husson track and field team to travel to South Carolina for its opening meet, the third annual Husson University Donut Run will be held Sunday, April 10, at Newman gymnasium, Husson University. Two races will be offered — the Munchkin Mile for children 13 and under who will race 1 mile (9 a.m.) and receive Munchkins at the end, and the 2-mile Donut Run (9:30 a.m.) where racers run a mile, eat two donuts, and then run another mile. Race fee is $10. Race-day registration begins at 7:30 a.m. Race fee is $10 high school and college students registered by Friday, April 8, $15 day of the race; $15 community members if registered by April 8, $20 day of the race.
