APPLETON, Maine — A homeowner interrupted a burglary Friday night, according to police.
The Knox County Sheriff’s Office reported that an unknown number of people entered an unlocked shop at a residence on the Appleton Ridge Road. About $1,200 in tools were taken from the shop.
Police are withholding many details while the case remains under investigation, but indicated that the homeowner interrupted the burglary and was able to get a partial description of a vehicle.
Police declined to provide that description or more information at this point.
