CARIBOU – Richard A. Edgecomb, 71, passed away on Tuesday, February 16, 2016. Dick was born and raised in Limestone, the son of Richard and Marion (Terrier) Edgecomb.
Dick entered the U.S. Army in 1965 and served as a missile crewman in Battery A, 5th Battalion of the 30th Artillery in Vicenza, Italy. He was honorably discharged in 1967. In 1973 he met Janet Welch, they were married and moved back to Limestone. Their first born Kathy was born in 1977, and their second born, Andrea, was born in 1980.
Dick was a two term commander of the American Legion Post 15. Dick enjoyed working many years for Levitt Farms in Limestone. He also loved playing cards, and enjoyed playing Santa for the kids.
Dick is survived by his youngest daughter Andrea, and her husband Scott Gorneault of Perham, his siblings, Greg and Sandy Edgecomb of TX, Conrad and Beverly Edgecomb of SD and Dennis Edgecomb of CA. He will also be missed by a special friend, Sharon Gilley.
He was predeceased by his parents, Richard P. and Marion Edgecomb, his oldest daughter, Kathy Edgecomb, and his brother Steven.
